I've corn-ily been thinking about this first post in my head ever since I signed up for this blog. The new sneakers obviously represent more than just the superficial purchase, but an allusion to the cliche about walking in another person's shoes. So as a clean white canvas I intended to have them represent my travels and experiences abroad for the next two months. And so it goes...

A young mans journey to a place unfamiliar to most. Ones, Michael Baquerizo, will travel aboad and will create the storybook of his life as its being written. The most personal growth one will see in his or her lifetime, is outside of his or her comfort zone.
To Michael: May you have great adventure; meet new people, experience new things, stimulate new thought and ideas. May you feel emotion; meet people that can make you laugh until you cry, and can make cry until you laugh. May you find love; love of life, love of people and love of self. And most importantly, may you not forget where you came from, remember those that love you, remember those that are here for you and will support you, and remember those that will miss you.
Though at times you may find yourself alone in a new world, please remember this: though we're thousands of miles away, we too will ebark on this journey; we will see it though your eyes, we will read it through your words, and will live it in your shoes.
Buona Fortuna Mikey!
